Information practices

Privacy should be part of the work.

This notice explains what S.O.L. Resources collects through solresources.biz, why it is used, who may handle it, and when it is deleted.

Effective August 27, 2026self@solresources.biz

01

Scope

This notice applies to information submitted through this website or sent to the S.O.L. business email in connection with an inquiry. A signed NDA, master services agreement, statement of work, or other written data-handling term may set additional or different rules for a client engagement. Where a signed agreement expressly controls, that agreement governs.

02

Information we collect

We collect the information you choose to provide, which may include:

  • your name, email address, business, or project;
  • the type of work, timing, and level of discretion you select;
  • your description of the operational problem; and
  • later correspondence, meeting notes, and scoping information.

Hosting, email, and security providers may also process basic technical data such as IP address, browser or device information, timestamps, and request or security logs. The assessment form is not a secure file-transfer channel. Do not submit passwords, financial account details, regulated records, client files, or other sensitive material through it.

03

How information is used

We use information only as reasonably necessary to:

  • review, evaluate, and respond to an inquiry;
  • schedule an assessment and prepare a proposed scope;
  • perform and administer an agreed engagement;
  • protect the site, detect abuse, and maintain business records; and
  • meet legal obligations or establish and defend legal claims.

We do not sell or rent personal information. We do not use inquiry information for third-party advertising, and we do not send general marketing without separate permission.

04

AI-assisted work

Submitting an inquiry does not authorize S.O.L. to use its contents to train a public AI model. If AI-assisted analysis is appropriate in a later engagement, the purpose, material involved, and handling requirements are addressed within the engagement before client material is used. Recommendations and client decisions remain human-reviewed.

05

Who may receive information

Information may be handled by service providers needed to operate the site, email, scheduling, secure storage, or other agreed business systems. Those providers receive only the information reasonably needed for their role. We may also disclose information to professional advisers, when required by law or valid legal process, to protect rights or safety, or as part of a business transfer subject to appropriate confidentiality protections.

06

Retention

We keep information only as long as it serves the reason it was collected, supports an active business relationship, or must be retained for legal, accounting, security, or dispute-resolution purposes.

RecordNormal retention
Inquiry that does not become an engagementUp to 90 days after the last substantive contact
Inquiry kept for a requested later follow-upUp to 12 months, unless you ask us to delete it sooner
Project working files and deliverablesThe period stated in the written agreement; otherwise, generally up to 12 months after the work ends
Contracts, invoices, and required business recordsGenerally up to 7 years, or longer when legally required
Security logs, backups, and provider recordsAccording to the applicable system or service provider schedule

Deletion from active systems may occur before residual copies cycle out of encrypted backups or provider logs. We may retain a minimal record of a request when necessary to document that it was completed.

07

Security

S.O.L. uses safeguards appropriate to the information and the stage of the relationship, including limited access, purpose-specific transfer methods, and written confidentiality terms when appropriate. No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure. If sensitive material is needed, establish the transfer method with Patrick before sending it.

08

Cookies and analytics

At launch, S.O.L. does not intentionally use advertising pixels or cross-site behavioral tracking. The hosting and security systems may use strictly necessary technical functions to deliver and protect the site. If material analytics or tracking practices are added, this notice and any required choice controls will be updated before or when those practices begin.

09

Your choices

You may ask what information S.O.L. holds about you, correct it, or request its deletion. Some records may need to be retained for legal, accounting, security, or contractual reasons. Send a request from the email address associated with the information to self@solresources.biz. Identity may be verified before a request is completed.

10

Children and changes

S.O.L. provides business services and does not knowingly solicit personal information from children under 18. This notice may change as the site, systems, or services change. The effective date above will be updated when a material revision is posted.
